Two charrettes in and the community has shared a lot. Now it's time to start doing something with it.
Paper Streets Charrette 3: Let's Get Growing is a hands-on community day where echo's teens begin activating the vision that residents, neighbors, and community members have been building since April. The unused plot of land behind The Scrap Exchange on Chapel Hill Road has been the center of this conversation, and on June 27, we're taking the next step toward making it something real.
Built on echo's For Youth, By Youth model, this project puts young people in the driver's seat of real civic change. Every charrette has been shaped by community input, and Charrette 3 is no different — your presence and participation continue to drive what this space becomes.
Come ready to get your hands in the dirt, take home a seedling, and be part of something growing right here in the Lakewood neighborhood.
