Teens Tackle: Community Pop-Up at The Wash House
Free laundry, free Locopops, and a chance to shape the future of your neighborhood.
The paper street behind The Scrap Exchange is being shaped by the Lakewood community, and echo's teens want to hear directly from the people who live and work here.
On August 8, we're setting up at The Wash House on Chapel Hill Road for a community pop-up designed specifically for the Lakewood neighborhood. Come do your laundry on us, grab a free Locopops popsicle, and take a few minutes to share your ideas for what this unused space could become. Every response goes directly into shaping the future of the paper street project.
This is a casual drop-in event — come as you are, stay as long as you like, and know that your voice is exactly what we came for.
What's There:
🧺 Free laundry — 30 loads available for wash and dry, first come first served

This event is part of the ongoing Teens Tackle Paper Streets & Civic Design project led by echo's teens in partnership with The Scrap Exchange and the City of Durham.
